Gold rates go up in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: On Friday, November 8, 2024, gold rates in Pakistan witnessed a significant increase as the price of 24-karat per tola gold rose by Rs. 2,000, reaching Rs. 278,800. This marked an increase from the previous trading day’s price of Rs. 276,800, according to data from the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.

Breakdown of 24-Karat and 22-Karat Gold Prices

In addition to per tola rates, the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also saw an uptick, rising by Rs. 1,715 to Rs. 239,026 from Rs. 237,311. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold climbed to Rs. 219,107, up from Rs. 217,535.

Silver Prices Remain Unchanged

Unlike gold, silver prices remained stable. The price of one tola of silver continued to hold at Rs. 3,300, while the price for 10 grams of silver stayed steady at Rs. 2,829.21.

International Gold Market Sees Increase

Gold prices rose not only domestically but also in the global market, with an increase of $21 per ounce. This brought the international gold rate to $2,683 from its previous $2,662.

Recent Fluctuations in Gold Rates

Just a day before, on Thursday, November 7, 2024, gold prices experienced a decline. The price of 24-karat per tola gold had decreased by Rs. 5,400, selling at Rs. 276,800 compared to Rs. 282,200 on Wednesday. The 10-gram rate for 24-karat gold dropped by Rs. 4,630, to Rs. 237,311 from Rs. 241,941, while the 22-karat 10-gram rate also fell to Rs. 217,535 from Rs. 221,780.

Silver prices also saw a minor decline on Thursday, with the price per tola dropping by Rs. 130 to Rs. 3,300, while 10 grams of silver dipped by Rs. 111.46, landing at Rs. 2,829.21.

The international gold market also faced a sharp decrease, as prices dropped by $65, falling from $2,727 to $2,662.
